Today in FinTech Ukraine: UkraineDAO raises $6 million

Today in FinTech Ukraine, the Decentralized Autonomous Organization of Ukraine raised $6 million for a non-fungible Ukrainian flag token with proceeds to support the war-torn country; Polish software and software development company Netguru has announced a series of initiatives to help Ukraine.

UkraineDAO, the decentralized autonomous organization, has raised $6.1 million for a Ukrainian flag non-fungible token (NFT), CoinTelegraph.com reported.

Proceeds will go to non-profit organizations in Ukraine helping those affected by the Russian invasion. Contributors will receive ERC-20 tokens in the form of LOVE tokens, depending on the amount donated.

Netguru, the Polish software development and consulting firm, announced its support for Ukrainian colleagues who called for immediate action.

The company pledged several dimensions of support, including helping colleagues and their families stay safe; support organic initiatives with matching contributions; supporting two Ukraine-focused nonprofit projects that share know-how and resources as part of Tech to the Rescue; and provide psychological support to the team.

TMX Group, Canada’s provider of digital communities and analytics solutions, announced a $50,000 donation to the Canadian Red Cross Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal to support efforts to help those affected by the Ukrainian crisis.

Donations will enable the Red Cross to respond to humanitarian needs resulting from the crisis, as well as preparedness, immediate and ongoing relief efforts, long-term recovery, resilience and other essential activities.
