Monuments Information Group, the UK’s largest real estate and land data company, has announced the appointment of Rob Young, who is joining the company as Group Director of Software Engineering.

With significant experience leading large software teams to deliver cloud-based proposals to global companies, Rob leads Landmark’s engineering and development teams to drive a transformation program across the company. Landmark activity.

Originally spending the first part of his career serving in the military as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) operator, Rob has moved on to software development roles with companies such as Royal Bank of Scotland, before taking up leadership roles at Intransit, Lockheed Martin and SolarWinds MSP. .

Rob is responsible for leading and developing multidisciplinary teams of product architects, designers, engineers and QA at multiple sites. He brings a unifying and creative force to Landmark to build and deliver industry-leading software platforms and API integrations securely and at scale.

At Landmark, Rob is responsible for leading Software Engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Professional Services and the Program Management Office. This includes teams in the UK as well as offshore partners, where he will work closely with the product team to deliver Landmark’s strategic portfolio roadmap.
