ASUS ZenFone and ROG Phone series expected to get Android 12 OS update

ASUS has been working on Android operating system version 12 for some of its flagship phones. Earlier this month, the ASUS ZenFone 8 beta program began accepting registrants. The release schedule for the Zenfone 8, Zenfone 7 and ASUS ROG phones is now ready. From December 2021, the ZenFone 8 will officially receive the latest version. In Q1 2022, ROG Phone 5 and 5s series will receive the same. In the first half of next year, ASUS ROG Phone 3 and Zenfone 7 series will receive the same update.

As with most Android 12 upgrades, ASUS will provide major features and improvements over Google’s version. Asus will also include performance and battery management improvements and features, for which the company is known.

The update will also add specific changes to ZenUI. This will provide better navigation, increased visibility, improved control, more customization, and more streamlined control panels.

ZenFone 8 users have already started with the beta test program. Hopefully the program will help identify more bugs and errors so that they can be fixed immediately. The final version of the software should be ready by December.

The features and improvements will be basically the same for the mentioned ZenFone models. Besides ASUS, other manufacturers have also announced that they are rolling out Android 12, including Vivo with the FunTouch operating system, Samsung One UI 4, ColorOS 12 and Realme UI 3.0 for OPPO.
